Joan Jonas, artist and MIT Professor Emerita, was selected to represent the United States at the 2015 Venice Biennale. The Venice Biennale (La Biennale di Venezia) is a biannual international art exhibition that was founded in 1895. It is one of the most important international art exhibitions in the world and hosts hundreds of thousands of visitors. The United States Pavilion is a building designed in the neo-classical style where an exhibition is presented of new work created by a single artist selected to represent the United States.
The design project consists of a full brand system used across multiple platforms, including printed event invitations, event signage, digital presentations, and an exhibition website.
