“Being Material” is an intensive two-day event at MIT that explores new and unexpected meetings of the digital and material worlds. Programmable matter, self-assembling structures, 3D/4D printing, wearable technologies and bio-inspired design capture the attention of engineers, scientists and artists. “Being Material” showcases recent developments in materials systems and design, placing this work in dialogue with kindred and contrasting philosophy, art practice and critique.
Elements of the design suite include a logo and visual brand system, print and digital publicity, a registration website, giveaway tote bags and water bottles, wayfinding signage, a printed and bound program, name tags, and digital presentations.
